Community Guidelines

DOODLE5 is a daily word game that anyone should feel comfortable playing. These guidelines describe how we expect players to represent themselves and treat others.

DOODLE5 has no messaging, comments, or discussion boards. You can add friends, track rivals, compare scores, streaks and achievements, and appear on leaderboards — but there is no way to send another player free-form text or images. Your display name is the only thing you write that other players see.

Be welcoming

  • Your display name is the one thing you write that every other player can see. Slurs, discrimination, and personal attacks have no place in it.
  • DOODLE5 is about having fun. Leaderboards are for celebrating good solves, not for putting anyone down.
  • New players are welcome, and everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day.

Usernames and display names

  • Your username is visible to other players on leaderboards and profiles. Choose something you'd be proud to show publicly.
  • Display names are 3–24 characters and may contain letters and numbers only — no spaces, symbols, links, contact details, or personal identifying information.
  • Offensive, hateful, or obscene usernames are not allowed — including deliberate misspellings, character substitutions (e.g. replacing letters with numbers or symbols to spell slurs), or names intended to demean or harm others.
  • Names that imitate DOODLE5 itself, our staff, moderators, or a system account are not available.
  • Accounts with violating usernames will have their name forcibly reset to a safe, randomly assigned placeholder. Repeated violations may result in account restrictions or a ban.
  • If you see a username that violates these guidelines, please report it to safety@doodle5.com.

Play with integrity

  • Leaderboard positions should reflect real play. Do not use scripts, lookups, or any tool to inflate your score.
  • Cheating or falsifying scores will result in leaderboard removal. Refer to our House Rules for the full enforcement policy.
  • Do not advertise, sell, or solicit accounts, scores, or any paid advantage to other players.

Keep it safe

  • Your display name is public. Keep names, addresses, phone numbers, links, and anything else identifying out of it — yours or anyone else's.
  • Report safety concerns, abusive usernames, or suspicious behavior to safety@doodle5.com.
  • Respect applicable laws and platform policies when using the game.

Profile pictures

  • Profile pictures come from a picture library we maintain. Pick one on the Edit Account page.

What DOODLE5 does not have

DOODLE5 is built for competition, not conversation. There is deliberately no way for one player to publish anything to another beyond the game results themselves.

  • No direct or private messaging.
  • No comments, discussion boards, or reply threads.
  • No @mentions.
  • No photo, drawing, or file uploads visible to other players.
  • No profile biographies or free-form profile text.

What you can see about another player is structured game information: their display name, chosen picture, scores, streak, achievements and leaderboard position.

Enforcement

We review reports and take appropriate action, which may include username resets, leaderboard removal, or account restrictions. Appeals can be submitted via our support page.
