What Is DOODLE5?

Every day at midnight Eastern Time, a new puzzle is published. Each puzzle has five pencil-sketch-style drawings. Each drawing shows a word or idea that connects to a single hidden mystery word, the DOODLE5.

Your job is to study the drawings and guess the mystery word. You have 3 attempts. The fewer attempts you use (and the fewer hints you need), the higher your score. You can also guess the individual drawings for bonus points.

DOODLE5 is free to play in any web browser, and there is an Android app on Google Play. Today's puzzle needs no account. A free account saves your streaks and stats across devices and adds leaderboards, friends and themes. Optional one-time purchases, such as ad removal or Historical Play for past puzzles, add extras. There is no subscription.

How Each Puzzle Is Made

Each puzzle starts with a mystery word and five clue words that connect to it. The clue drawings are AI-generated in Will's pencil-sketch style, and Will reviews and approves every drawing before a puzzle is published. When you finish a puzzle, the game reveals the answer so you can see how the clues connect.

What You Can Do Without an Account

The game is not behind a login wall. You can play today's puzzle as a guest, try a practice puzzle on the homepage, read the complete rules and scoring, and look through the feature tour. An account only adds private player data such as saved streaks, stats, friends, purchases and settings.

Spoiler-free past puzzles - answers are not published; earlier puzzles stay playable through Historical Play, an optional purchase.

The Game at a Glance

Daily puzzles — A new DOODLE5 goes live every day at midnight Eastern Time.

Five clue drawings — Each puzzle has five pencil-sketch-style drawings, all connected to one mystery word.

3 attempts — You have three attempts at the mystery word. Solve it on your first try with no hints for the full 100 mystery-word points.

Drawing bonus — Guess each drawing (up to 3 tries per drawing) for 10, 8 or 5 bonus points. Drawing guesses never cost points. Up to 150 points per puzzle.

Hints available — Reveal the first letter (−10) or last letter (−10), use the secret clue (−20), or reveal a drawing's word (−5 each).

Leaderboards — Compare by total points, win rate, solve speed, perfect games, and streak length.

Friends & rivals — Add friends and compare scores daily. Get matched with rivals at your performance level.

Achievements & themes — Over 50 achievements to unlock. Many grant visual themes for your DOODLE5 experience.

Web & Android — Play in any browser on any device, or install the Android app from Google Play.
